Introduction
stry is a Discord bot. This documentation explains how to add it to a server, where to get help, and the rules that apply when using it.
The stry developers are not liable for any abuse, misuse, or damage arising from use of the bot. Any attempt to manipulate or abuse stry results in permanent removal of access. The full conditions are set out in the Terms of Service.

Getting Started
Adding stry to a server takes less than a minute.
Invite the bot
Open the invite link provided by the stry team, choose your server, and confirm. You need the Manage Server permission in that server to add a bot.
Review the requested permissions
Discord shows the permissions stry requests during the invite. Review them before confirming — a bot can only act through the permissions it is granted.
Check the role position
If you plan to use stry for moderation, place its role above the roles it needs to manage under Server Settings → Roles. Discord prevents bots from acting on members with equal or higher roles.
Removing the bot
You can remove stry at any time under Server Settings → Members. Removing the bot ends its access to your server; the handling of stored data is described in the Privacy Policy.

When an administrator account is compromised or turns, Stry strips its access, restores what was destroyed from the latest backup, and opens a case — in seconds. The timeline below shows one response, condensed.

Restoration never depends on the attacker's cooperation. Stry captures raid-safe snapshots of your server's channels and roles on a rolling schedule, so a compromised account cannot destroy the server faster than Stry can restore it. Every response is recorded as a numbered case your staff can review later.

Who can add stry to a server?
Any member with the Manage Server permission. Bots cannot be added by regular members.
stry isn't responding in my server. What should I check?
First, confirm the bot is still a member of the server and is not offline. Then check that it has permission to view and send messages in the channel you are using, and that its role sits above the roles it needs to manage. If the problem persists, ask in the support server.
How do I report a bug or a security issue?
Report it in the support server. Good-faith security reports are always welcome — reporting a vulnerability responsibly is not treated as abuse.
Can loss of access be appealed?
No. Under the Terms of Service, removal of access for manipulation or abuse of the bot is permanent.

The stry developers are not liable for any abuse, misuse, or damage resulting from the use of the bot. Any manipulation, exploitation, or abuse of stry will result in permanent removal of access to the bot, with no possibility of appeal.
1. Acceptance of terms
By inviting, configuring, or using stry (the “Bot”) in any Discord server, you (“you”, the “user”) agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, remove the Bot from your server and discontinue use.
2. Availability of the service
The Bot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, or non-infringement. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.
3. No liability for abuse
The developers of stry assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any abuse, misuse, or damage caused by users through the Bot. This includes, without limitation, content posted through the Bot, moderation actions taken or omitted, data loss in your server, conflicts caused by misconfiguration, and any direct or indirect harm resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Bot. The Bot acts only on the instructions of your server's staff; how its capabilities are used is entirely the responsibility of that server's administrators.
4. Manipulation and abuse of the bot
Any attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse stry will result in immediate and permanent removal of access to the Bot. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended behavior instead of responsibly reporting them
- Automating, scripting, or self-botting interaction with the Bot
- Attempting to crash, overload, or otherwise degrade the Bot's service
- Using the Bot to harass, spam, or attack other users or servers
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Bot's infrastructure
- Circumventing an existing restriction or blacklist
Enforcement may include a permanent global blacklist of your user ID, removal of the Bot from servers you own or administer, and rejection of all future access. Removal under this section is permanent; there is no appeal process.
5. Fair use
The Bot may apply rate limits to protect service quality for all users. Deliberately evading or attempting to evade rate limits is treated as abuse under Section 4.
6. Termination
Access to the Bot may be denied, suspended, or terminated for any user or server, at any time, for any reason, including reasons not explicitly listed in these Terms. You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server.
7. Changes to these terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Bot after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version is always available on this page.

Data stored
The Bot stores the minimum data required to operate: server and user identifiers needed to remember configuration and settings, and records of actions performed through the Bot.
Data not collected
- The content of your server's regular messages is not read or stored
- Data is not sold or shared with third parties
- No payment data is collected
Retention and deletion
Data is retained only while the Bot remains in your server. Removing the Bot leads to deletion of its stored configuration. To request deletion of specific records, contact the team in the support server.
